Privacy Policy
The short version: your practice data never leaves your device. Scores, takes and settings all stay local. The app sends two kinds of anonymous telemetry — product analytics (how the app is used) and crash reports (why it broke) — never tied to your name, email or Apple ID, and both covered by a single switch in Settings → Privacy.
What the app stores
Your imported scores, practice takes and results, backing-track references and settings are stored locally on your device, in the app's own data folder. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.
What we collect
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for.
- Anonymous product analytics. We use Amplitude to record feature usage and session activity — for example, which features get used and whether the app is still being opened a week after install. Events carry numbers and category names only — never score titles, file names, or anything you play — tied to a random identifier generated on your device, not to your name, email or Apple ID.
- Anonymous crash reports. If the app crashes or freezes, a technical report goes to Sentry: where in the app's own code it failed, the OS and app version, and a short trail of technical steps that led there (such as “practice started” or “score render failed”). Crash reports never include your scores, titles, file names, or what you played, and are not linked to your identity.
- One switch for all of it. Settings → Privacy → “Share anonymous usage statistics” turns both analytics and crash reporting off.
- No advertising or tracking SDKs — whatsoever. The app contains no ad networks, no attribution or fingerprinting SDKs, and no cross-app tracking of any kind. Telemetry data is used only to improve StickToClick; it is never sold and never shared with ad networks. And this is a commitment, not just today's status: we will do everything we can to never add an advertising or tracking SDK to StickToClick.
- No third-party SDKs beyond Amplitude and Sentry.
Because this identifier is random, device-local, and never combined with anything that identifies you personally, Apple's App Store listing categorizes it as data not linked to your identity.
MIDI and audio
The app listens to your electronic drum kit over MIDI and plays audio, all locally. Performances are analyzed on-device to score your timing; recordings and analysis results are stored only in the app's local library.
Purchases
If you obtained the app through the App Store, the purchase is handled by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. We receive no personal information about you from it.
Changes
If a future feature ever needs to change any of this, the policy will be updated here first — and the single privacy switch in the app will keep covering everything the app sends.
